Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, Toronto
Steven Beckly & Sarah Bodri
Supported by the Toronto Arts Council and the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation Division
The Ferry Terminal Billboard Project presents quarterly open air visual art exhibitions in the 10 former advertising billboards in the inner compound of the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. The project is a partnership between Lake Effect Projects and the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division. The curated exhibitions present work by Toronto-based artists, responding to site of the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal as the gateway to the Toronto Islands. The exhibitions explore thematic dichotomies between water/land, urban/rural, work/leisure, natural/artificial.
The Ferry Terminal Billboard Project’s inaugural summer exhibition features work by Sarah Bodri and Steven Beckly, whose photography responds to the theme Water and Sky.
